Part-time 20 hours per week

Integrity, collaboration and innovation – three values that are central to everything we do at Richmond. They shape our direction as an organisation, our service delivery to clients, and of course our commitment to our team. When you bring your skills and passion on board with us, you’re set to enjoy plenty in return. So if you like the sound of working with your clients to achieve outcomes they care about while building your career, it sounds like you belong right here.

If you’ve got a background in social or youth work, you’re well-placed to work with our clients, who are up to 19 years of age. Working rostered shifts, you’ll encourage clients to be a part of the decision-making process regarding their recovery, and ensure support systems are available in the future. Your unique mix of empathy and positive energy is what makes you ideal to assist clients with identifying and achieving goals, helping them develop life skills that focus on their strengths.

Your innate ability to build trust and respect cultural identity will see positive relationships forged with both clients and their community – a crucial factor in reaching goals.

Ideally, you’ll come to us with a qualification such as National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work or National Certificate in Community Support Services (Core Competencies). If not, or if you’re working towards one, we’ll help support you in your studies. A full New Zealand driver’s licence is also essential.

Are you ready to make a positive difference to people’s lives, including your own? If so, then put your heart in the right place with Richmond.

For enquiries please contact Susan McNarn Admin Coordinator on (03) 371 5578 or smcnarn@richmond.org.nz.
